SPUD1 - Tater Toes

SPUD1 has been a key player in the Toronto underground art scene for the past 12+ years. He is perhaps best known for taking on Toronto’s ex-mayor Rob Ford, when the Mayor waged war on graffiti. SPUD1 was thrust into the spotlight, with his images of the Mayor with clever sayings, witty puns and grotesque characters. SpudBomb was founded by SPUD1 in 2010, when he traveled across Europe, covering many cities with his Funny and Happy SpudBomb characters and Happy Grenades. SpudBomb is a collective of SPUD1’s art which started with graffiti and has progressed in to many different areas of forms of art.
